Beijing SDL Technology Co., Ltd., established in 2001 with a registered capital of 630 million yuan, is a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, design, production, sales and service. SDL was listed on the SMEs Board (merged into Main Board now) of Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2012.

The company's business revolves around ecological environment monitoring, which mainly includes pollution source emission monitoring, atmospheric environment quality monitoring, water environment quality monitoring, ecological environment big data, industrial process analysis, third-party testing, pollution control and energy conservation. The seven sectors help the continuous improvement of environmental quality and the realization of carbon neutral goals, through comprehensive management solutions for control of pollution reduction and carbon reduction.

The company currently has nearly 2,000 employees, including 300 R&D personnel, 1,000 service engineers, and more than 400 intellectual property rights such as patents and software copyrights. SDL has received numerous honors, such as being approved as the Beijing Enterprise Technology Center, Beijing Engineering Laboratory, and Postdoctoral Research Program. SDL has undertaken a number of National Key R&D Programs, and been awarded several prizes.

● In 2001 Beijing SDL Technology Co., Ltd. was officially established
● SDL’s first Continuous Emissions Monitoring System was successfully installed in a power plant
● SDL’s first process analysis system was successfully installed in a petrochemical company

2003

● First infrared analyzer was independently developed
● Developed high temperature / high dust concentration sampling technology for the cement industry

2007

● Donated and built SDL Hope Primary School in Xichou County, Yunnan Province
● Launched first coal gasification online analyzer system for the coal chemical industry
● Developed first waste incineration flue gas monitoring technology

2008

● Beijing SDL Technology Co., Ltd was officially recognized as a high-tech enterprise
● Company moved to Huilongguan International Information Industry Base, Changping District
● First steps into the field of atmospheric environment monitoring

2009

● SDL was awarded The China Analytical Instrument Development Contribution Award
● Signed a significant gas analysis project with a cement company in Wuhu

2011

● Awarded as an enterprise of the "Ten-Hundred-Thousand Projects" of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone
● SDL’s high-temperature gas analysis system won the gold medal at the 12th National Invention Exhibition
● SDL’s biological toxicity water quality monitor became a pioneer for toxicity early warning in urban centralized drinking water sources by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment
● SDL’s first ambient air VOCs monitoring system was deployed for online monitoring of VOCs in the Shennongjia Forest District of Hubei Province

2012

● Beijing SDL Technology Co., Ltd was successfully listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange, stock code 002658
● Participated in the Ministry of Science and Technology’s major mercury monitoring instrument development project
● SDL’s first set of biological toxicity water quality monitors was successfully deployed in Guangdong Province

2013

● Awarded the title of Beijing Enterprise Technology Center
● Participated in the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Key Instrument Development Project for fixed pollution source - VOCs

2015

● Acquired a controlling stake in the British company Kore Technology Ltd and established a British overseas R&D center
● Approved to establish a postdoctoral research program
● SDL’s first industrial park comprehensive environmental monitoring service project was installed in Leping Industrial Park, Jiangxi Province

2016

● Completed the acquisition of the Belgian company Orthodyne S.A. and established a Belgian overseas R&D center
● Subsidiary Beijing SDL Information Technology Co., Ltd. was established
● Subsidiary Beijing SDL Environmental Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established
● Subsidiary Guangdong SDL Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. was established
● The biological toxicity water quality monitor was selected into the advanced and practical Technologies guidance catalog of the Ministry of Water Resources

2017

● The first batch to settle in the Xiong'an Zhongguancun Science and Technology Industrial Base
● Participated in the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Key R&D Program "Research and Development of Optical In-Situ Sensor and Online Monitor for Seawater Total Organic Carbon"
● Ultra-low emission and VOCs monitoring products won the title of Top 100 Technologies by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment

2018

● Awarded the bid for construction, operation and maintenance project of the National Surface Water Automatic Monitoring System by China National Environmental Monitoring Center
● Won the Contribution Award for Outstanding Engineering and Technology Talents by China International Science Exchange Foundation
● Participated in the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Key R&D Program "Full Process Air Pollution Control and Technical Integration Demonstration in Fine Chemical Industry Parks"

2019

● The Two-wheels "Business driven and Culture driven" model opens a new journey for SDL 2.0
● Won the 2nd prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award

2020

● Won the title of “Green Factory”, in line with China’s strategy to establish a green manufacturing system
● Obtained CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) maturity level 5 certificate
● Initiated carbon emission monitoring business

2021

● Signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangdong Inspection Group and Foshan CNTest Company to carry out a "carbon peak and carbon neutral" cooperation
● Awarded the bid for a carbon emission monitoring pilot project of a power plant

While fulfilling corporate social responsibilities, SDL also actively contributes to social welfare undertakings and talent cultivation. We established SDL Hope Primary School in Xichou County, Yunnan Province, and called on employees to actively lend a helping hand and send employees to teach. Up to now, SDL Scholarships have been donated to more than ten universities to support the cultivation of professionals in the field of environment.
